Joe Elliott started wrestling in highschool in 2001, boxing in 2007, and transitioned to BJJ in 2009. Determined to share his love of martial arts with his community, he started his own martial arts club in his mother's basement. Joe's first amateur MMA fight was in 2011, soon after Joe opened Big Country MMA and Fitness. Between 2015-2017 Joe went on to win his debut fights in professional MMA and boxing. In 2019 Joe took over Muskoka Kickboxing. As the owner of three martial art gyms, Joe takes pride in sharing his passion and knowledge with his local communities. Joe recently met an incredible goal by obtaining his black belt in BJJ, something he has been working towards for over a decade.

"Martial arts has done so much for me and I feel I owe it to pass along. Everything from skill set and passion, to life skills and choosing the right paths in life. This sport is for everyone, no matter the age or level of athleticism, it improves both mental health and physical health immensely. It has saved my life and the lives of many others.
